Describe what you do.

As a wedding & portrait photographer, I capture moments at weddings, engagement session, family portraits, senior portraits, and proposal. As a promotion manager, I manage all social media engagement and creation of menu & advertising design to improve sales by creating and managing new items over and over.

Describe how you do it.

I do it with passion, but I think passion itself is not enough since sometimes you will get burn out. I always try to think that I do it for Jesus, like my client or my boss is Jesus. What would I do if Jesus is that annoying “client”? Will I treat that person nicely still or will I treat that person with rudeness. It does help a lot when I think that it is all of His glory! It helps me to give the best experience possible for my clients and boss.

Describe why you do it.

So…eventually I want to focus solely on being a wedding photographer. I do it because I am passionate about it and I want to use the gifts and talents that God has given me. I love capturing memories and being a part of something romantic. I feel like I contribute something to their marriage life as photos are the only longterm thing they keep from a wedding. Being a ladyboss is another perks for me, so later when I have kids, I can stay at home most of the time with my kids.

What was the first step you took to become what you are now?

I stayed in the United States and did not give up. It is hard for international students to stay in the US. You even have to pay thousands of dollars to stay here, but God kept opening the door for me and I think He wants me to stay. It was not an easy choice because life would be a lot easier back home living with my parents. But I chose His calling.

What do you wish you had paid more attention to in school?

I wish I had lessons on Digital/Social Media Marketing since it helps a lot with advertising nowadays. And… I wish I had built more intimate relationships with roommates and classmates!
