Describe what you do.

We are a full service content marketing agency that helps companies out with a variety of marketing needs (web development, branding, e-mail marketing, SEM, SEO, graphic design etc…). For our marketing plans, we look to generate leads for our clients while also focusing on expanding the visibility of their companies, and positioning them to be “top of mind” for future their potential clients. In order to achieve this, we draw on our experience and belief that a mixture of traditional marketing techniques combined with modern marketing tools will yield the best results.

Describe how you do it.

For the full marketing plans we put in place, we normally implement a content marketing approach which is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action. Some of the elements include an upfront strategy which needs to answer questions like: How will we create content? When and where will we publish it? What topics will we cover? Who is our audience? etc… Keyword research is also done upfront so we can identify the keywords and/or keyword phrases that our clients will want to eventually rank for. We then put together an editorial calendar and once the content is being published we move forward with distributing this content to their target audiences. From here, it’s all about tracking, measurement and adjusting as we keep an eye on continuing to improve conversions. Within all of this, there are hundreds of details to implement that all play into improving rankings and conversions.

Describe why you do it.

Simply put, marketing is fascinating to all of us here and we love what we do. It’s fun. Here is an article I wrote about the 4 qualities of a successful entrepreneur.

What was the first step you took to become what you are now?

My first step was 19 years ago when I joined a start-up company that was in the printing and publishing space. And during this time, I continued to learn more and more about my trade and helped grow this company to the top printing company in San Antonio. And then about 18 months ago I felt a strong need to spread my wings and apply everything we have learned to other companies. This was probably the scariest decision I ever made as I had a good gig going with this other company, but I have always had a dream to own my own company and position myself to be able to give back to this world and leave it just a little bit better than when I entered it.

What do you wish you had paid more attention to in school?

Geography. I’m horrible at it.
